About Me

Hi, and welcome to my home bakery business! My name is Julia and I love to bake, as well as serve others. I got the nickname ‘Jules’ when I was young as my teammates were cheering my on at a gymnastics competition. It has stuck ever since and sounded perfect for this business!

I started baking when I was young and loved helping my dad out in the kitchen. I soon was bringing treats to friends, neighbors, parties, doctors, kids I babysat, and more! Fastforward to 2020 when the pandemic started, I started baking more and more, but didn’t have as many people to give it to. I realized how much I love baking for others and wanted to start my own business. So, in Spring of 2020, I signed up to sell my goods at the Happy Valley Farmers Market. It went very well, and I had a lot of support from family and friends. I decided to take 2021 off from selling at the market due to plans for attending Culinary School. That unfortunately fell through, but I kept baking and learning new skills. In 2022, I returned to selling at the farmers market every Saturday and found my sweet spot– making things look like fast food that are actually cake and cookies! (Otherwise known as “Dessert Imposters”) I have always loved this idea and was thrilled to bring it to life at the market. My imposters went over very well, and I could see that others shared my joy for “burger” macarons, and “corndog” cake pops. In December of 2022, I had the amazing opportunity to take pastry classes in Paris! My favorite class was at the Le Cordon Bleu school. I am now even more inspired to grow my business through online orders as well as pop-up sales. Baking is my creative outlet, stress reliever and happy place. I can’t wait to serve you with my talents!
